What If I Don't Qualify For Homeowners Insurance? |
|
The state of Colorado has a program for people who do not qualify for their homeowner’s insurance known as Fair Access to Insurance Requirements (FAIR) plan. It is an insurance plan that grew out due to the depreciated social and economic circumstances in certain areas because of which it got impossible for many business owners and homeowners to purchase property insurance. Because of this, the federal government established the FAIR plans based on the stop loss reinsurance method. If a business owner or homeowner cannot acquire property insurance through conservative means, application can be made through an agent who represents an insurance company participating in the FAIR plan. If the property is acceptable to the company, insurance will be provided. If the property is lacking, improvements are recommended, and upon fulfillment the policy is issued.
